How does a Flexi Instalment Plan work?

Make your purchases with your HSBC credit card and repay them conveniently through a Flexi Instalment Plan that suits your needs. You may choose to convert a single or up to 10 transactions into a single instalment plan and repay it over up to 36 months. What’s more, there are exclusive offers available for 0% interest instalment plans.

The easiest way to convert your purchases into a Flexi Instalment Plan is through our mobile app. Just logon and follow the instructions, alternatively you can call us on one of the numbers provided, detailing the eligible purchase you made and we’ll convert the transaction for you.

Lastly, you can now convert your eligible transactions into instalments during the online check out at selected participating merchants. Just look for the prompt when shopping online with your HSBC credit card and follow the onscreen instructions.

Things you should know

We'll evaluate your application based on your financial history and current circumstances.

If you're eligible, we'll let you know how much your monthly payment will be. This will be part of your monthly minimum credit card repayment.

Each offer has a minimum purchase amount and different terms. For some offers, you'll have to call a designated number to book your purchase into a Flexi Instalment Plan.

Fixed Annual Percentage Rate - 0.00% to 29.88% on reducing balance. The interest rate offered will be dependent on your individual circumstances and the plan term.

If you do not meet the repayments/payments on your loan/financing, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating, which may limit your ability to access financing in the future.

Who can apply?

To be eligible for a Flexi Instalment plan:

You must have a HSBC credit card and have made a transaction that you want to convert into a Flexi Instalment Plan
For 0% instalment plans the transaction must be from one of our eligible merchants

You may be eligible for Flexi Instalment Plan based on the information we hold on our records and our internal policies.

Eligibility is also subject to meeting any minimum amount threshold that might be applicable on a single or multiple transaction(s).

How to apply

Through the mobile app

Log on to the HSBC UAE app
Select the credit card you made the transaction(s) with
Tap 'Flexi Instalment Plan' and select 'Get started'
Select the transaction(s) you want to convert into instalments
Choose the repayment plan that works for you and select 'Confirm'

Frequently asked questions

Before you proceed with the Flexi Instalment Plan we’ll inform you of any interest or fees that may apply. Alternatively, please refer to the Terms and Conditions, Key Facts Statement and Schedule of Services and Tariffs (PDF, 481KB) for details of our latest fees and charges.

The monthly instalment amount will form part of your monthly minimum repayment due for your credit card. If you miss a payment, the outstanding instalment amount will become part of the retail outstanding amount on your card. If you fail to pay your credit card minimum repayment by the due date in two consecutive months, the total outstanding plan amount will be added to the total outstanding of your card and will be due in the subsequent monthly statement. The rate will also switch to the applicable purchase rate of the card.

The flexi instalment amount, any applicable fees and the total interest payable (whether or not this has been billed) as part of this plan will be deducted from your available credit limit.

This means that at any time during the term of the Flexi Instalment Plan your available credit limit must be enough to cover each of these. As each monthly instalment is paid, the respective amount will be restored to your available credit limit.

Cancellation

You can request a cancellation of the Flexi Instalment Plan within 7 business days of booking the plan. We will cancel the Flexi Instalment Plan and the amount of the plan will be treated as retail spend going forward, as if the Flexi Instalment Plan did not apply. Should you wish to cancel your Flexi Instalment Plan please call us on the number on the back of your card.

Early settlement

You can fully repay the Flexi Instalment Plan before the end of your plan by calling the number on the back of your card and making full payment towards your plan’s outstanding balance. You may be subject to early settlement fees. Please refer to our Schedule of Services and Tariffs (PDF, 481KB) for all applicable fees and finance charges.

It may take up to 5 working days to process and display in your account on the HSBC UAE app. Should you have any queries, please call us on the number on the back of your card.
