What is the Common Reporting Standard (CRS)?
To help combat tax evasion and protect the integrity of tax systems, governments have introduced an information-gathering requirement for financial institutions. This is the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
Under the CRS, we have to determine where you are a ‘tax resident’. This is usually where you’re liable to pay income or corporate taxes.
To confirm your status under the CRS, we may ask you to complete a self-certification form. If you've already completed this form, you'll need to keep it up to date if your circumstances change.
