Register for digital banking in just a few steps

It's easy to get started in the HSBC UAE app, whether you're registering for the first time or setting up a new device. And once you're done, you'll be set up for both online and mobile banking.

Confirm your details

Enter your customer number, credit card number or debit card number, and your date of birth.

Take photo of ID

Upload photographs of the front and back of your Emirates ID or passport.

Take a selfie

Take a photo of your face to confirm it's really you registering.

Create a PIN

Enter a memorable 6-digit PIN to use to log on to the app and generate security codes.

We want you to take a selfie for your safety, so we can see that your photo ID and the person registering match.

You have 5 attempts to verify your identity when you set up digital banking. If it fails, you can try again in 24 hours.

Yes, if you have a joint account you'll both need to register for digital banking using your individual customer details.

You have 3 options for logging on to mobile banking in the HSBC UAE app:

6-digit mobile PIN you created when you registered
FaceID, if this is enabled on your device
Fingerprint or TouchID, if this is enabled on your device

You'll need to be using your registered device.

It's easy to log on securely to online banking:

Enter your customer number, credit card number or debit card number and your date of birth
Open your app to approve the log on request
Scan the QR code displayed on your screen to continue
That's it, you're ready to bank securely

Currently, you can't use your Global Money Debit Card number to log on.

If you forget your mobile PIN, you can quickly reset it in the HSBC UAE app:

Agree to validate your identity online via Emirates Facial Recognition
Scan your ID document to verify your identity - you can use either Emirates ID or passport
Take a video selfie
Reset your 6-digit PIN
That's it, you're done

Here's how to change your mobile banking PIN to something different

Log on to the app with your 6-digit PIN you created when you registered or with FaceID or TouchID
Select 'Manage Security'
Confirm your existing 6-digit PIN
Set and confirm your new 6-digit PIN

If you're unable to use the HSBC UAE app, you can still get limited access to your account.
